Encaustic Taster Workshop

Picture
The Encaustic Taster Workshop is for anyone who wants to try encaustics for the first time, or to learn a specific technique to add to their encaustic repertoire.

Create your own painting using a 15x15cm primed panel. Bring along a laser photocopy of a photograph or drawing to transfer onto the painting, or use pigment to add colour.

The workshop lasts 2 hours and includes:
  • Brief History of Encaustics
  • Health and safety of working with encaustics
  • Fusing encaustic layers
  • Adding colour and depth
  • Transferring images onto encaustics
  • Materials to create a 15x15cm painting
  • Morning tea.

Price: The workshop costs $50 for one person, or $80 for two.

Workshops take place in Golden Bay. Accommodation is available with the artist's family or in a variety of options around this popular tourist destination.
